Tour Itinerary

  • Day1
    ARRIVE AT GUWAHATI

    Departure Pune as per schedule flight. Upon arrival at Guwahati, meet & greet by our tour representative and proceed to Hotel at Guwahati- the Largest city of Assam situated on the South bank of the Bramhaputra River. The city is the gateway to the enchanting Northeast India. In the evening visit Kamakhya Devi Temple situated on the top of Nilachal Hill. The Majestic Kamakhya temple is an iconic Landmark in Guwahati. Overnight stay at Guwahati. Check-in at the hotel ( check in time 2 Pm)

  • Day2
    Guwahati to Bomdila (260kms/7.5hours)

    After Breakfast transfer to Bomdila. Bomdila – the headquarter of west Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. Enroute enjoy the breathtaking views of Himalayas. On arrival at Bomdila, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

  • Day3
    Bomdila to Tawang (180kms/5.5hrs)

    After early morning breakfast, today we will visit Bomdila Monastery also known as Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Ling Monastery which was built in 1965 by the twelth incarnation of the Tsona Gontse Rinpoche. Later drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped Sela Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial set in scenic terrain just below the Sela pass. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place) Tawang is situated at an altitude of 3500m. The natural beauty and solitude of Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi ranges, Tawang chu River and Tawang Valley are mesmerizing. The inhabitants of the districts are of Monpa tribes except Shyo village which is dominated by people of Tibetan Origin. Overnight stay at Tawang

  • Day4
    Tawang- Madhuri Lake-Bumla Pass

    After breakfast visit Pankang Teng Tso Lake 12000ft. Also known as PT Tso Lake, Shonga-tser Lake (45 Km/2-3Hrs approx), It is famously called Madhuri Lake. An earthquake in this region resulted in the formation of Shonga-tser Lake in 1971, which until then was grassland that served the cattle of the locals here. The lake with picturesque snow-capped mountains surrounding it and the valley offers spectacular views. Later drive to Bumla Pass, Bumla Pass is situated 37 kms away from Tawang. The Indo-China border that lies at 16000 ft altitude is the right place for you to assess your fitness level if you love adventure. Back to Tawang. In the evening visit Tawang War Memorial - commemorating the bravery of the Indian heroes of the Indo-China war of 1962. Witness the light & sound show in the evening. Overnight stay at Tawang.

    Tawang to Bomdila (180kms/5.5hrs)- Sella Pass

    After breakfast Visit Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world. Overnight stay in Bomdila

    Bomdila to Kaziranga (210kms/6hours)

    After early morning Breakfast transfer to Kaziranga - which is home to two-thirds of the worlds population of rare one-horned Rhinoceros. The landscape of Kaziranga is of sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, marshes and shallow pools. Kaziranga also has a good number of Tigers and is home to a large breeding population of Elephants, Wild Water Buffalo and Swamp Deer. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  • Day7
    Kaziranga Safari Day

    Today early morning enjoy Jeep safari (subject to operation ) at Kaziranga National Park. Later visit Kaziranga National orchid and Biodiversity Park, medicinal Herb gardens and cactus House and a Handicraft museum. In the evening enjoy Traditional Bihu dance performance. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

    Kaziranga to Shillong (260kms/6hours)

    After Breakfast, Transfer to Shillong, a hill station and the capital of Meghalaya . En-route stop at Umium Lake viewpoint which is one of the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Shillong became the first capital of the State of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 2,70,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population. Overnight stay at Shillong.

    Shillong -Cherrapunjee –Shillong (54kms/one way -2hours)

    Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year. The town of Cherrapunji is nestled in the East Khasi Hills about 50 km southwest of the state’s capital, Shillong. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra or Churra, means ‘the land of oranges'. The cliffs of Cherrapunji also offer stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. Visit to Seven Sister Falls, Nahkhalikai Falls, Mwasmai Cave, eco – park. Return to Shillong en-route visit Elephanta Falls. Overnight stay at Shillong

  • Day10
    Shillong -Mawlynnong & Dawki-Shillong (80kms/2 hours)

    This morning,proceed for Mawlynnong. This little colourful village is known for its cleanliness and is awarded a cleanest village in Asia. Explore the Root Bridge made of tangles of massively thick roots and Natural Balancing Rock. Also, visit border town of Dawki, later enjoy boating at the Umngot River known for its crystal-clear river water. Also visit Bangladesh Border. Back to Shillong. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Day11
    Shillong to Guwahati (100kms/3hours)

    Breakfast, Later visit Don Bosco Museum (closed on public holidays & Sundays ) Proceed to Guwahati. After reaching Guwahati go for Sunset /sundown cruise at Mighty River Brahmaputra (subject to operation), visit to Umananda Temple. Overnight stay at Guwahati

  • Day12
    RETURN HOME

    After breakfast. Check out from Hotel. Today we visit Kalakshetra Museum, Pt. Bhupen Hajarika Museum, Nabagrah temple, Balaji Temple, state Zoo. Day free for shopping or leisure and later in the evening proceed to the airport to return home with eternal memories of your tour only with Mango Holidays!

  • On tour Guests are requested to carry Original & 2 photo copy (xerox) of any Photo ID proof (Except Pan Card) i.e. Passport / Driving Licence / Voter's ID along with them. Also submit a copy of the sa}me at the time of booking.
  • Children / Students are requested to carry Original & 2 photo copy (xerox) of school or College Photo Identity card along with them. Also submit a copy of the same at the time of booking.
  • On tour guests have to carry 4 passport size photograph for registration.
